Vitamin D
Our bodies produce vitamin D as a response to sun exposure. We can also boost our vitamin D intake through foods or supplements. Vitamin D is essential for several reasons, including:
Maintaining healthy bones and teeth
Healthy vitamin D levels can slow down bone loss & can help with bone development.
It may also protect against a range of diseases and conditions, such as Type 1 diabetes.
Vitamin D may help with reducing the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS). A 2018 review of population-based studies found that low levels of vitamin D are linked with an increased risk of MS.
A study identified low vitamin D levels as a risk factor for more severe Fibromyalgia symptoms, anxiety and depression.
Vitamin D can also help with:
Skin
Immune support
Blood pressure levels
Joints & muscle
We recommend only four Vitamin D injections per year due to it this vitamin being fat soluble. Excessive consumption of vitamin D can lead to over calcification of bones and the hardening of blood vessels, kidney, lung, and heart tissues.
